International Students Celebrate Success

HEFPGraduation2010

Students from Brazil, Kazakhstan, Albania and China celebrate their graduation

International Students from Stratford-upon-Avon College celebrated their graduation earlier this month at The University of Warwick.

Over 100 students on the Higher Education Foundation Programmes in Business Studies and Social Science celebrated their success at the International Digital Lab at the University of Warwick with lecturers and staff from both the college and the university. Students and staff from Warwickshire College also attended the event as well as ex-college students who now study at the University.

Stratford-upon-Avon College has worked in partnership with the University of Warwick in delivering the Higher Education Foundation Programme (Warwick HEFP) in Business Studies and Social Science since 1988. The college welcomes around 400 international students each year from over 40 countries.

Stratford-upon-Avon College has formed a collaborative working partnership with City College Coventry called the Heart of England International Academy. This partnership allows the two colleges to combine experience and commitment to provide an impressive portfolio of courses, enhanced student guidance and support. Students can choose to study in Stratford-upon-Avon or in Coventry.

The two colleges have been welcoming international students for many years and have a long tradition of enabling students to attain qualifications to gain entry into universities in the UK. Stratford-upon-Avon College was established in 1877 and City College Coventry was established in 1832.
